08-07-06 Choosing Our Love Nest~

08-07-06 <<< nice number huh? hee hee At about 9: 45am, we were at HDB hub to go and select our flat. I went to look for a toilet first as i was quite nervous about getting the house. Roy was trying to find where we could pay the 10 bucks coupon, so i saw the kiosk of the sale of new/resale flat.. I was just being curious on it. So i went to press for new flats thinking its to let us know what queue number it would be next. I forgot its like those bank/post office that just taking a queue number. The number came up and i felt so silly! Roy was asking me what i was doing? I said i was just curious on this machine... and our number is W00006 << cant remember how many zeros. I thought it might be still crowded but end up no one at all. So less then a min, our number appeared on the board! We were quite unprepared for it. I keep saying we are not ready but the lady just go ahead to process everything. I took a last look on the second choice unit and told her our choice. The scanning machine for the document didnt want to work so she had to go in to scan our documents, so we were just trying to recover from the sillyness of my button pressing and get a hold of ourselves getting the house that fast... Things were quite smooth for us except roy letter of his salary was rejected because the company had wrote basic salary instead of salary or gross, they think there might be extra income if its just basic salary. So besides that, it was quite ok. Everything else was done and we were asked to wait for awhile before going in to select our flat. We wanted the 9 floor of other block but.. end up i think high floor wins hands down.. then roy n I went up to pay the first 2k payment (ouch~!! just 2k fly away) and here we are we got our dream flat~!! :)
